Head out on expeditions and explore 15 new unique locations. Trust your instincts during your explorations, the path you took yesterday can be inaccessible or obliterated. Your mission is to locate the rumored Citadel of Eternity in the search for salvation - at any cost.

No two expeditions are the same. Thus, the choices you make are more important than ever and can tip the scales, from life to death. Choose carefully as you equip new weapons, boons, miracles, and more as you progress through the expeditions.

Throughout your journey, you may encounter areas that are cursed. When you enter a cursed area, the landscape itself is influenced by its current ruler which dramatically changes the way you need to play. So, prepare for an extra challenge as a cursed area also brings a more sinister threat.

HOW TO ACCESS?
The update is a free update for all owners for Vermintide 2 and will be included in the base game installation. Warhammer: Vermintide 2 will be updated on April 20, the download is a remaster and will decrease the diskspace it claims.
Chaos Wastes will be playable on April 20 on PC.
The update will arrive to console as soon as possible.

A: No. It is a free update!
Q: Why is my download size so big?
A: The initial download size for Chaos Wastes may appear big (it is!), but with this update comes some optimisation - once downloaded, the overall installation size will be reduced.
Q: What is an expedition?
A: A single Expedition will span across several locations, of which some may be influenced by the Chaos Gods. Your team will need to make choices along split paths that could mean the difference between life and death.
Q: How Does Expedition Progression Work?
A: You will progress through an Expedition by deciding which paths to take. Miracles and Boons can be earned, and weapons can be discovered and upgraded along the way.
Miracles, Boons and weapons will not persist from one Expedition to the next; however, some of your Pilgrim’s Coins will.
Q: What Are the Rewards for Completing an Expedition?
A: If you successfully survive your Expedition, you will earn both experience and a reward chest for your efforts.
New, unique Portrait Frames reflective of the Chaos Gods can also be earned by defeating the respective God’s challenge.
